Talkh o Shirin

Bitter Sweet

Happy and sad moments of life on our planet, Earth.

All sad moments are either caused by man, or they could have been prevented by man, but weren't. All happy moments are just a natural and eternal part of nature and life itself.

Gimme Shelter (Mick Jagger/K. Richards)(1970, during the Vietnam War)

Oh, a storm is threat'ning
My very life today
If I don't get some shelter
Oh yeah, I'm gonna fade away

War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Ooh, see the fire is sweepin'
Our very street today
Burns like a red coal carpet
Mad bull lost its way

War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

The floods is threat'ning
My very life today
Gimme, gimme shelter
Or I'm gonna fade away

War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
I tell you love, sister, it's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
Kiss away, kiss away

Asiatic cheetahs caught on camera.
This remarkable image of Asiatic cheetahs was captured by automatic equipment in an isolated region of Iran's Dar-e Anjir Wildlife Refuge.
There are only 60 of these beautiful cats left in Asia, most of them in Iran.

"Yaghooti", (Ruby) grapes of Astaneh,  8/9/2005

The best yaghooti comes from the village of "Sarsakhti", 4 miles (about 6 Kilometers) to the southeast of Astaneh.

In Astaneh, the Aroosaneh Orchards have very good yaghooti too. When you eat them, watch out for ladybugs.

music: Louis Armstrong, Wonderful World (donya-e ziba)

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin' "How do you do?"
They're really saying "I love you"

I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Oh yeah
